WA Salt Group is committed to responsible environmental management across the group. We will continue to work within existing facilities to reduce the impact on the environment and for any future developments the environment will be a key component.
WA Salt Koolyanobbing is leading the way in our commitment to our environmental responsibility by respecting the lake and the surrounding environment. We acknowledge that Lake Deborah is a unique natural wonder and is at the centre of our environmental consideration. Our farming techniques have been developed so as to have the least impact on the environment when collecting the salt crop produced by Mother Nature.
The WASG is committed to having a responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are committed to improving environmental performance across all of our business activities and encourage our business partners and members of the wider community to join us in this effort.
Quality
WA Salt Group is committed to delivering reliable quality outcomes that match or exceed the expectation of our customers and to continuously improve the quality of the products and service provided.
Our processes are certified, audited, monitored and evaluated to ensure that our products are made to a superior quality standard.
Our processing certification includes:
- ISO 9001:2015 - an internationally recognized quality management system,
- HACCP - a risk assessment based approach to food safety and quality,
- Kosher - in accordance with kosher laws set forth in the bible clarified by Rabbinic literature,
- Halal - in accordance with the Islamic Halal guidelines certified by the Western Australian Halal Authority.
Safety
WA Salt Group is committed to achieving a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors and all visitors to the sites under our care.
We are focused on reducing risks and preventing injury arising from our operations or the use of our products. We recognise that our most valuable resource is our employees and aim to achieve zero harm through our commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
We recognise that safe work practices are the responsibility of both the employer and the employee.
